ABOUT

Hélène Franchineau is a visual journalist and photographer covering Turkey and the Middle East, based in Istanbul.

Hélène was previously a video journalist for the Associated Press based in Beijing, China. She spent a total of 7 years in China and Hong Kong, where she also worked for the South China Morning Post and freelanced for the BBC and the New York Times, among others. 

She can speak, read and write English/French/Mandarin and is currently learning Turkish and Arabic.
