ABOUT

Hélène Franchineau is a visual journalist and photographer covering Turkey and the Middle East, based in Istanbul.

She holds a permanent Turkish press card and a press card from the International Federation of Journalists

Hélène was previously a video journalist for The Associated Press based in Beijing. She spent a total of 7 years in China and Hong Kong. She can speak, read and write English/French/Mandarin and is currently learning Turkish and Arabic. 

Her work has been published by The New York Times, AP, BBC, South China Morning Post, Le Monde, Euronews and PRI.
